History
In the 1960s, The Pioneer Boys’ Club and Dunstable Young People’s Club set up next door to one another here in Manchester Place.
Dunstable Community Halls encompasses what were originally the Pioneer Boys' Club and Dunstable Young People's Centre. Since the 1960s the buildings have been here for the community and used for a range of purposes, including:
- Community cafés
- Discos, snooker, or table football
- Youth activities
- Churches
- Functions such as wedding receptions, parties and meetings
- Football
If you have memories of spending time here, we would love to hear them.
LuBYA
By the early 2000s, Luton and Bedfordshire Youth Association had taken over the running of both buildings and had their headquarters here.
In 2022, LuBYA merged with Bedfordshire Rural Communities Charity, who are now running the buildings.
BRCC are continuing and broadening the charitable aims of Luton and Bedfordshire Youth Association, offering services and support to a variety of local groups.
